The Flag Bearers of KLU ASME for the year 2013-14

KLU ASME Student Section has successfully appointed its next flag bearers for the academic year 2013 - 14. Students from various departments have sent their nominations for various positions of responsibilities in KLU ASME. The students were given an opportunity to present their ideas, interests and future plans to all and then were interviewed meticulously during the days of 26th, 27th and 28th of March 2013. The Positions of Responsibilities are given in such a way that the student can align his career path with it and work for it with full interest and passion. 

The core team for the year 2013-14 was announced in the occasion of the Success Meet of ASME SPDC India 2013. The following students will be serving the student community for the next academic year 2013-14.

SPDC Success Meet

KLU ASME Student Section has organized a Success Meet on 29th March 2013, to Congratulate the organizers of the successful Student Professional Development Conference 2013. The Faculty Adviser, Prof. Shyam Prasad K and the core team of KLU ASME Student Section were present along with all the organizers of SPDC India 2013. The organizing team has worked for two to three months to accomplish various tasks assigned to it towards SPDC. Many students from second and third years of engineering from various departments have joined the team for the first time and have enjoyed working with the team. 

As a part of the Success meet games and fun events were conducted to give a break to the students from the exacting schedules and rejuvenate them. The core team had the opportunity to interact with the organizers and share ideas. The next core team was also announced on this occasion. Certificates for the Organizers were also distributed. All the organizers enjoyed the day by spending time with their friends.

    Workshop on Wheeled Robots

    This is the first workshop that was held outside the K L University by KLU ASME Student Section, since its origin. The workshop is on Wheeled Robots. The following members taught the Workshop at Paladugu Parvathi Devi College of Engineering:

    The workshop started at 10:00 hrs and ended at 18:00 hrs. Mechanical department students of the college have participated in the workshop. Various topics that were taught are:

    • LED programming
    • Path Tracer Robot
    • Touch Screen Controlled Robot

    Opportunity to represent ASME India @ SLS 2013

    Good news to the 2nd and 3rd year students of ASME members. ASME SPDC India 2013 provides a fantastic opportunity to become a representative of ASME India as the member of Student District Operating Board (SDOB) of ASME India or the Zonal Representatives of ASME India. 

    The elections will be held as a part of Student Leadership Seminar (SLS) to be held at the ASME SPDC India 2013, K L University on 11th March 2013. In this regard, students of 2nd and 3rd year are requested to submit their Application and CV on or before 28th Feb 2013.

    Welcome to the world of Opportunities – ASME


    KLU ASME Student Section welcomes the new members of ASME to the family of KLU ASME Student Section. 38 students from 2nd, 3rd and 4th years have received their Membership and their Membership kits were distributed on 4th February 2013 in the Freshers Meet of KLU ASME Student Section held from 14:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs in M102. Prof. Shyam Prasad K, Faculty Advisor and Mr.Premchand P, Chair, KLU ASME Student Section were present in the meet to greet the new members.
    Mr.Premchand P has discussed the advantages of being a member of ASME and explained the opportunities that lay ahead of members who are active. He has quoted few examples of students who are active and have been recognized Nationwide for their activities. Prof.Shyam Prasad K has presented the vision of KLU ASME Student Section and discussed about the challenges that today’s engineering students have in front of them. He has also enlightened students to pursue their dreams by working with the respective clubs of KLU ASME Student Section.
    The membership kits were then given to the students from the hands of Prof. Shyam Prasad and Mr.Premchand P. They greeted every new member and wished them luck in their endeavors.

    Workshop on Robotics Fundamentals

    The AMWITH ROBO of KLU ASME Student Section has conducted a 2 day Workshop on Robotics Fundamentals.

    The workshop was attended by 18 students from different branches of Engineering.
